festive fun!

On a scale of 1 to love, I am LOVING Christmas this year! It's been terribly exciting having things like carol singing, cold weather and whatnot building up over the last month or so, but the pinnacle of pure joy came yesterday at the Sunday service in my home Church - it was a traditional nativity right up to the end, after the wise men came and Herod was looking for babaies to massacre, then the play was hijacked! A group of Daleks invaded, complete with exterminate sound effects and the stable turned into a Tardis (time and relative distance in space, apparently) and whisked Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus off to Egypt. And then we sang the Calypso carol... you know, 'oh now carry me to Bethlehem...' well, not quite. More like 'oh now tardis me to Bethlehem'. You can't make this stuff up. Well, clearly you can but I can't make this stuff up!
