"Zummerzet born, Zummerzet bred, strong in the arm and thick in the 'ead!" So they tell me anyway. I suppose it may account for my being so freaksihly strong for my miniscule size as people frequently tell me!
Anyway, what could be better than a long weekend off, spent in the beautiful county of Somerset? Home of cheddar cheese and zyder apples! It seems that the more time I spend away from Somerset, the more attached to the place I become! Going back makes me so happy these days. Even though I'm in England, in the Buckinghamshire countryside that many would say is as good or better, Somerset still holds a large piece of my heart!
So, this weekend, will I mostly be sipping zyder (cider), eating cheese and listening to the Wurzels? Well, almost - cider makes me sick thanks to my *chequered* past and I left my Wurzels CD in Korea (it's a long story and probably best not to ask!). But cheese there will be and if I'm lucky a starbucks! Not very Somerset I know, but so delicious - especially this time of year with the joy that is the gingerbread latte!
Mmmm. I can hardly wait. Home sweet home, here I come!
